1. Provider
SolvFolio is provided by Solvmetric Works LLC. Website: solvmetricworks.com
2. Privacy by design
SolvFolio is designed to minimize data handling. It does not require a Solvmetric Works account, does not include advertising, and does not include first-party analytics or a third-party crash-reporting SDK.
3. Documents
Scanned PDF documents and their local metadata are stored in SolvFolio private app storage on your device. Solvmetric Works LLC does not operate a document-storage backend and does not receive copies of the documents you scan.
When you choose Share or Save a copy, Android and the destination app, provider, or storage location that you select handle the exported copy. Their privacy practices are governed by their own terms and policies.
4. Document scanning technology
SolvFolio uses Google ML Kit Document Scanner delivered through Google Play services. Scanner input and output processing is designed to occur on-device. Google Play services may contact Google to download or update scanner components and models, and ML Kit may send technical performance and utilization information to Google. SolvFolio does not use this SDK telemetry for advertising and Solvmetric Works does not receive your scanned document contents through this integration.
5. Google Play Billing
SolvFolio may offer an optional one-time Lifetime Supporter purchase through Google Play. Google Play processes the transaction. SolvFolio may query Google Play for product information, localized price, purchase status, acknowledgement status, and entitlement state needed to show whether Lifetime Supporter is active. Solvmetric Works LLC does not receive your payment card details through the app. The Google Play Billing library also includes Google transport and encoding infrastructure used for technical service communication. This is not Firebase Analytics, and Solvmetric Works does not receive that Google service telemetry.
6. Accounts, advertising, and tracking
SolvFolio does not require a Solvmetric Works account. It does not include ads, first-party analytics, or cross-app advertising tracking.
7. Permissions and network access
SolvFolio itself does not request broad storage, location, contacts, microphone, or direct camera permission for the core scanner flow. The release build includes Internet and network-state permissions through Google libraries used for ML Kit and Google Play functionality. SolvFolio disables cleartext network traffic.
8. Retention and deletion
Documents remain in private app storage until you delete them in SolvFolio or remove the app, subject to Android platform behavior. SolvFolio disables Android application backup for its private data. Deleting a document from SolvFolio removes its app-private PDF and metadata. Copies that you previously exported are controlled by the destination you selected and are not deleted by SolvFolio.
9. Security
SolvFolio uses app-private storage, a non-exported FileProvider with temporary sharing grants, and no cleartext network exception. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but the app is designed to reduce unnecessary data exposure.
10. Children
SolvFolio is a general-purpose document utility and is not specifically directed to children. If the app is later intentionally directed to children, the privacy and Play policy position must be reviewed before that change.
11. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live, applicable law may provide rights such as access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or complaint rights. Mandatory local privacy and consumer rights are not limited by this policy. Solvmetric Works can only act on personal data that it actually controls; scanned documents kept only on your device are not available to Solvmetric Works.
